Amanda Leduc was born in Canada and has lived in England, British Columbia, Ontario, and Scotland. She has published across Canada, the US, and the UK, and been shortlisted for a number of awards, among them the 2015 StoryQuarterly Fiction Prize, the 2014 CBC Canada Writes Short Story Competition (longlist), the 2012 (and 2008) PRISM International Short Fiction Contest, the 2012 TNQ Edna Staebler Personal Essay Contest, the 2008 UK Daily Mail First Novel Award, and the 2006 CBC Literary Awards. Her novel, The Miracles of Ordinary Men, was published on May 1, 2013 by Toronto’s ECW Press.

Amanda is the Non-Fiction Editor of Big Truths, the essay companion site to Little Fiction. She is also the co-founder of Bare it For Books, the not-for-profit literary campaign which produced a 2014 calendar featuring well-known Canadian authors baring themselves in support of PEN Canada. She is represented by Samantha Haywood at The Transatlantic Agency
